BMW E36 E46 Rear Knuckle Kit

This is the rear knuckle and trailing arm set — two knuckles and two trailing arms that replace the factory rear uprights on an E36 or E46.

The standard rear upright gives you no toe adjustment worth the name and a bearing housing that was never asked to survive a season of drifting. Once the front end has real angle, the rear is what limits the car.

Steel, and lighter than OEM. Fabricated from high-strength steel with a revised bearing design, and still down on weight against the factory casting.

Toe you can actually set. Proper adjustment at the knuckle, so you can dial rear toe to the grip you want instead of living with whatever the shell gives you.

Twin caliper mounts. Each knuckle carries mounting for a second rear caliper — the usual answer for a hydraulic handbrake that has to work all weekend.

Wheel and tyre clearance is the same as the standard knuckle, so nothing changes about what fits in the arch.

The knuckles are built around a 30-spline shaft. Standard E36 shafts will not go in. Wisefab's own WF3619 halfshaft kit is the matched part. On a single caliper almost any E36 or E46 rear brake works — the exception is the E46 M3 setup. Go twin caliper and you are committed to E46 330 brakes with 320 × 22 mm discs, which needs at least a 16″ rear wheel. The knuckle bolts up with no body or chassis modification and on the standard front bracket. To get the full benefit — maximum grip, suspension travel and toe control — some chassis work is expected.
