036094A: Rear subframe bush kit SPORT

The four bushes that hold the M3's rear subframe to the shell.

90 ShA polyurethane — the yellow SPORT compound. StrongFlex build this grade for tuned and lowered cars: the suspension gets noticeably stiffer, the geometry stops moving under load and the car holds its line when you push it.

This is the mount that takes the whole rear axle's load, and on a car with this much power the original rubber has a hard life. When it softens, the subframe rocks under load and the car feels like it has a hinge in the middle of it. Four solid polyurethane bushes tie the axle to the body and the drive goes straight to the wheels.

Fits BMW M3 E90 / E92 / E93 (07–13) and the BMW 1M Coupe E82 (11–12).
For a standard E90 or 1 Series take kit 036241A instead.

The rear bush 031852A is made in 90 ShA alone, because BMW used a hard rubber compound in that position from the factory. A softer 80 ShA bush there would give away handling rather than gain it — so StrongFlex do not offer one. The subframe has to come out of the car for this job, so it is worth doing the rest of the rear axle on the bench in the same session. Kit 036243A covers the arms.
