01Overview
The gearbox mount, in polyurethane.
Everything the engine mount does at the front, this does at the back of the drivetrain. A soft rubber gearbox mount lets the whole box lift and twist under load — you feel it as a delay between the throttle and the car actually going. Polyurethane takes that slack out.
StrongFlex build it for motorsport: drifting, quarter mile, time attack. It is stiffer than the original rubber and it passes vibration into the shell, which is the price of the response you get back.
It fits a long list of rear-drive BMWs and it is a common choice on swapped cars — including the Toyota Supra DB (19–), which runs BMW drivetrain.
Every StrongFlex product ships with the correct grease for fitting.

01Fixing screws are M8.
02Check whether your model takes one or two — the list runs from single-mount E21s to twin-mount later cars.
03Grease the bush surfaces on assembly. StrongFlex include the grease.
StrongFlex's own recommendation: run this with their polyurethane engine mounts 031761B or 031762B. Holding the engine and the gearbox together is what makes the difference you can feel.
